The Portland Rose Festival Foundation is a non-profit that serves families and individuals with programs and events that promote the arts, education and volunteerism.
The 2016 Jim Neill Golf Tournament will be held at Eastmoreland Golf Course on August 12. The Jim Neill Memorial Foundation is happy to announce the benefiting charity for 2016 will be the Portland Rose Festival Foundation. Jim was a long time Director of the Rose Festival Association and sat on the Executive Committee. Jim also co-chaired the History Committee and was an avid collector of Rose Festival memorabilia. His law firm, Davis Wright Tremaine, supported his efforts by purchasing his finds and together they donated the collection to the Rose Festival Foundation where they are presently on display at the Rose Festival offices on Naito Parkway. Each year, at CityFair, the Rose Festival Foundation shows many of the Festival’s artifacts in an onsite Museum. This Museum in 2016 will be permanently named the Jim Neill Memorial Museum. This honor speaks to Jim’s affinity for the Rose Festival and his commitment and dedication that its history will live on for the citizens of Portland and its visitors.
Money raised by the Jim Neill Memorial Foundation will go to the Museum, transportation of the Rose Festival’s Court of fifteen outstanding young women from area high schools, and the Living History Program.
